First, the other things.
I cut my bangs again. I'm sure you all care so much, haha.
I do love my bangs like this...:)
Next, there's another birthday in the family. That means...a card!
Last weekend I went to the women's expo with Desiree and Alex and I got a new scrapbooking idea book which also has a lot of fun card ideas. This is my rendition of one of their cards. :) I like mine better.
So, as far as our sneaky little friend goes...can you tell what this is? I'll give you a clue. That's where our baseboard and carpet meet. Need another view?
Any guesses?
Well, if you were thinking that our little friend looks something like this...

you're right.
Now, can I just say that we have never had a mouse before, in the 2 years we've lived here. We had a cold spell a few nights ago and we're pretty sure he was just trying to get warm. We are not dirty people. On Saturday night I was watching tv and I swore I saw something run across the floor but it was dark and I brushed it off as my imagination. Sunday morning I was up checking my email and Josh was fast asleep and then I saw him. He was running across the kitchen floor. I screamed for Josh. He came stumbling in but by the time he got there the little rascal was gone. But he had run behind the couch so we figured we could still catch him. We closed the sliding door between the kitchen and living room and got a bowl to trap him. We started putting everything up and pulling the furniture away from the walls and that's when we found the hole. He has chewed a hole through our carpet right at the baseboard and has been getting in through there. Since we couldn't find him we figured he had gone in his hole and so we covered it and went to church. We planned on leaving it covered until we could get some traps. Then Sunday night Josh and I were just sitting watching tv and there he was. He was just running around by the front door, right in front of us! I swear, this is the most daring mouse ever. Well he got scared when we got up and ran behind the radiator in the living room so Josh got the broom and the bowl and we figured we definitely had him this time. But when Josh hit the radiator to scare him out he ran faster than I have ever seen anything run! But we trapped his hole off so we knew we could find him and when we couldn't find him we discovered this.
This is the floor in a different part of the living room. Looks pretty normal right..?
Does this help?
Yep, that's my finger. So, we're pretty sure that little mouse has free range of wherever he wants. Ridiculous. We had no idea that our carpet was like this. It's really old and I guess it's just not really attached at the wall anymore. So we're not sure where he's coming in, he could be coming in anywhere. But of course, since we bought traps we haven't seen a trace of him. Either we scared him so bad that day or the he's just staying out in the beautiful weather until the next cold spell. Great.

Crazy!
