Easter '17

Easter was wonderful this year. Josh's mom came to town for the day, since Bronson had to work. She got here just in time for a delicious brunch before church. It was seriously yummy. After church, we had a small egg hunt for the kids and then had some honey baked ham sandwiches with rolls and some yummy sides. It was a low key but beautiful Easter Sunday filled with family and fun.
Yummy!!
Sweet girls!
Sorry Hattie!

Happy Easter Y'all

Easter this year was wonderful. Unfortunately, Josh ate something that made him really sick that morning, so he really missed out. Such a bummer. But we had a great day despite his sickness.

We got up and headed to church. The girls looked adorable. After church, Morgan and Jenn came over. We had a big Easter lunch with everyone. It was delicious. Laurie handled the whole thing and it was so yummy. Papa Max and Gwen were there as well. After lunch we spent some time outside with Morgan and Jenn's baby chicks. They're so cute. We even stuffed some eggs and did a hunt for the kiddos. They loved it. The eggs were all over the place and pretty hard to find. It was a lot of fun. And overall, a great Easter day!

Easter bunny goodies! Don't be deceived, these baskets were TINY! hahaha.
See how small they are? Haha!

Dying Eggs

This year we dyed eggs with my dad and his wife. They were in town to go to the temple and stopped in for a couple hours. We decided to dye eggs while they were here. It was fun! Piper was the cutest. She grabbed egg after egg, squealing and trying to smash the eggs on the table and toss them into the bowls of dye. What a mess! But so stinking cute.

Easter Egg Hung #1

The week before Easter, Elliott's neighbor/church friend, Anne Tatum, had a little Easter get together at her house. We brought a sack lunch and played in the backyard. It was a beautiful day. After we ate we hid some eggs for the kids and let them do a little Easter egg hunt. They loved it and did great. After the hunt, we ate some yummy snacks and then headed home! It was a fun day!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was Laurie and Bronson’s last day with us before they hit the road back to SC. We usually go to Morgan and Jenn’s ward when everyone is in town so this time we went to ours. It was fun having everybody there! The girls all went to nursery together and we adorable as always. Kendal and Matt were in the wrong church building for like 30 minutes before they realized, HA! But they found us eventually. After church we put the kids to bed and met back up at Morgan and Jenn’s for dinner. While we finished the last dinner preparations, the boys set out some eggs for the kids to hunt for in the yard. They seemed to like it. Then we ate. And boy did we eat! Yum. Seriously, Easter dinner is one of the best! We had a huge ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn, rolls, frog eyed salad, and a delicious mandarin orange cake to top it off, made by Jenn! Yum, I want that food right now! After dinner, the boys cleaned up while the girls headed on a walk to the park close by their house. The boys met us there a few minutes after we arrived. We played at the park for about an hour. It was a lot of fun. After the park we headed back to put the girls to bed and then watched the Because of Him video. I love that video. What a great message. Then we spent the rest of the night just talking and hanging out. I love nights like that. Then of course, came the goodbyes. I hate goodbyes. I hate going back to real life after vacation. It stinks. Everything is so quiet and boring. But all good things must come to an end, right? But man, what an amazing week it was!

The best picture we could get of them. It's hard to photograph 3 toddlers at the same time...
Auntie Kendal got each of the girls some awesome sunglasses. So cute.
