Josh and I have been married for 2 years! Can you believe it? We sure can't. Well, sometimes we can, most times we can't. Our anniversary was a little split up this year. Since we rolled into Provo the day before our anniversary and we had pretty much no money to spend we just bought a bottle of sparkling cider and got some cafe rio and spent the night at home together. It was really fun but I had more planned for later. Well, today was that later. I wanted our anniversary to be a bit more adventurous this year so I planned a day at the Diamond Canyon Hot Springs. If you drive south on highway 6 for about 10 miles and then turn into the canyon and drive another 10 or so miles you come across the trailhead for these wonderful springs. The hike was 2 and a half miles and mostly uphill so it was hot and tiring. But can I just say how much it was worth it because it was so beautiful!
There's Josh doing a little pose for the camera. Almost the entire hike was covered with tree cover like this and on the right was the river that we followed. Slowly the river got further and further down until we FINALLY reached the pools.
The waterfall is fresh from above ground so it was cold, like normal river water but there were separate pools all over the place with springs coming up from underground that were all different temperatures. We actually found that sitting just to the right of the waterfall was the best spot to be. It was warm from the springs but you also got the overspray from the waterfall. It was so refreshing and such a peaceful, relaxing place.
Nope, that picture is not edited in any way. That is the color of the pools! Isn't it beautiful? I just couldn't get over how pretty everything was. The pool were all different temperatures and there were parts that you could literally boil an egg in. We couldn't even stand putting our toes in because it was scalding hot. But there were pools that felt like hot tubs, bath water and even just warm tap water. It was so great.
The waterfall had this cool little cave under it that you could crawl into but I didn't sit there for very long because that water was cold!
It was such a beautiful day today and we had so much fun playing in the water. We ate lunch on the rocks and just walked around trying to find the perfect pool :)
Doesn't that one look super inviting? It has those rocks in the middle that you can sit on and it even had stone steps leading down into the water. Josh and I are so excited to come back here when it's cold! It will be perfect!
And on the way back we happened upon these guys
There were probably 10 cows just chilling by the road side. So we stopped and said hello.
In moo's of course...How else would they understand us?
Aren't they cute? We were seriously so close I could have reached out and petted him on the head. Looking back, I'm not sure why I didn't...
:) Happy Anniversary Joshie! Marrying you was the best decision I ever made. I can't wait to see what the rest of our life has in store!

that is a beautiful place, and I think marrying Josh was a great choice too. You are prefect together.
