SC State Fair '16

Last weekend Josh and I decided to go to the SC State Fair while he was home. It was a Saturday, so we risked the crowds, but we went right when they opened, so it wasn't too bad! We had a blast!

Josh and I both talked about how we are sometimes disappointed by the fair as adults but we still go there every year and spend a fortune. We decided that it's because for 18-20 years, the fair was magical and something we looked forward to all year and those memories never get erased, despite the years as an adult where it falls short of those expectations. Now, we love going so we can see Elliott get excited about all those things we used to get excited about. It's adorable. Needless to say, it was a great day!

Our one attempt at a selfie. Haha. Not our best...

Fall has arrived and I turned 28!

Fall is finally here in South Carolina. Although, we're still experiencing warm spells. It was 88 degrees today. Boo. But overall, the weather is much more enjoyable!

We've been going to the zoo a lot! Can you tell?
Action shot!
Typical day at our house. Cute and adorable in the morning. Naked and crazy by dinner time.
More typical dinner scenes.
Our little model.

My birthday was also this week! It was a great day. It fell on a Friday, which was great! I got to see Josh. He's working in Greenville and stays at Morgan and Jenn's Monday through Friday. But he got back about 7pm on Friday night. So we snuck out and went to Midwood Smokehouse for dinner! Yum. I love that place! Josh made it a great birthday! Unfortunately Hurricane Matthew hit the next day, so we didn't get to do anything too crazy. But we did grab lunch as a family and do some Target strolling. Two of my favorite things. :)

General Conference Weekend

I love General Conference weekend! It's such a great recharge! The messages this go around were fantastic, and I'm still enjoying listening to them over again and getting more out of them. I try really hard to give the girls something fun to do during conference, so I can get more out of it. It definitely wasn't perfect, but I think they enjoyed it.

This time around I had their prophet and apostle book numbered and coordinating numbers with activities/snacks on the table. Elliott loved finding the numbers.
In between sessions walk. Beautiful weather!
