Graduation!

Well folks, it's official. I went and got myself a degree! 

Last week was my last in my first grade class. I had the most amazing time. I spent seven weeks with the most amazing mentor teacher and the most adorable first graders that have ever existed! Seriously.

My mentor teacher taught me so much about teaching. She was so fun and I am glad that I can call her a friend. (Plus, she wrote me a rocking letter of recommendation) She totally spoiled me on my last day. She got Josh and I a gift card for a date and she bought me 27 books! Seriously. 27! I couldn't believe it. She had me open them in front of the kids. I seriously almost teared up. She is so sweet! 

Leaving the kiddos and leaving Lisa was hard. But I promised to keep in touch with Lisa. We're facebook friends. Haha.

My collection of children's books is up to 93! Wooohooo! I'm so happy about that. I love, love, love children's books. I can't wait to read them with my own kids someday. 

The fact that I've graduated college hasn't really kicked in (considering I didn't have finals or spend nearly any time on campus at all). I simply went to my school on my last day and then went home, just like any other day during student teaching. BYU doesn't have a December graduation ceremony so I won't walk until April. It's a little strange feeling, but great! Although I did get a wonderful surprise knock on the door today! These beautiful flowers are from Laurie and Bronson (Josh's parents). A little congratulations for graduating! Thank you!!

Since graduating I've jumped right back into work at Kneaders. Can I just say...I miss teaching. Teaching is the best job in the world. Hopefully someday I'll get to do it more. 

Well, we've been surprisingly busy lately but I can't seem to think what to write about. Josh just finished finals and has only 2 classes left for next semester. It looks like we'll be walking in April together...at different schools of course. Dang...2 boring ceremonies to sit through. Oh well. Josh has been putting in a ton of hours at Kneaders as the holidays are approaching. Kneaders is quite popular this time of year. But overall we are feeling very blessed to be where we are and doing what we're doing. I'll just post a bunch of pictures of what I have from lately. 

For the Titus gift exchange this year I had Kendal. Since she was leaving for SC I gave her her present a little early. I made her this scarf. 

I'm pretty proud of how cute it turned out! The purple part is Jersey and the lace is from a curtain I found at DI. It was simply sewing, cutting, and sewing some more. I have a bunch of lace left over so I think I might make myself one. It looks classy, right?

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Day was a fabulous one. We woke up early Thursday morning for some family football. The turkey was in the oven, food was cooking and we...didn't have a football. We drove around trying to find a store open. K-mart saved the day.


We went to a park just down the street from Morgan and Jenn's house to play. It was 3 on 3.

After football Josh and I ran home and got showered and cleaned up for dinner.

When we got there Morgan had made hats for everyone. Some of us were Indians and some were pilgrims. Very cute.

After dinner we went to the Scera theater in town and saw the Muppet movie. We all loved it. I thought it was hilarious. It was a great way to relax after that big, huge meal. This was Hannah and Chandler's last night in Provo so we spent it just relaxing and hanging out. We watched some shows, talked and ate lots of pie. We also skyped with Josh's parents. It sure was a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend and we sure miss the twins already!! 

We also spent some time taking family pictures on Thanksgiving for Bronson and Laurie's Christmas card this year. Hopefully this doesn't ruin anything! But here are a few of my favorites. 

Christmas Decor

Josh and I love to decorate for Christmas. I love this time of year. I love how generous and loving everyone is, I love how close I feel to my Savior and I love how much time I get to spend with my family.


Josh had to work the day after Thanksgiving so we decorated on Saturday! We pulled up all our decorations and got busy. Our place is fairly small so we don't have a lot but I love what we have. 


My favorite? The nativity, my mantel and our adorable little tree. I'll admit that I'm excited for the day when we can fit a big tree in our place, but for now, I love our little tree. It holds a lot of memories. This is our fourth year with this little guy!
