Piper turns TWO

For Piper's birthday this year, we went a little smaller. I was still recovering from Elliott's party! Also, with Josh in Greenville Mon-Fri, planning a party was somewhat difficult! We decided to do it on a Wednesday, her actual birthday, and do it in Greenville at Morgan and Jenn's house. That way, Josh could be there and the cousins didn't have to travel for it either. Just Grandma and Grandpa. :)
The night before her birthday, I woke her up for some last one-year old snuggles! Worth it.
Here she is...right before I woke her up! haha

Ever since Piper was a tiny baby, she has loved music. But of all the songs, she has especially loved Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! So that was the theme we went with! It was a great day!

We met some friends at the zoo that morning. Piper also loves animals! After the zoo, we ate some lunch in the car and headed up to Greenville. We set up for the party, put together the last touches, cleaned up a giant poop mess (thanks Piper) and then had her party! It was such a fun night!

Cinnamon/sugar star tortillas and fruit salsa.

Sweet girl!

Happy birthday Piper Gray! We love you!

5-4-3-2-1-0

Right now, Elliott and her Titus cousins are ages 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0! Such a fun little thing we have going! We discovered that it will be this way every year for just 29 days! Now how do we keep this going?!

Elliott's first primary program

Elliott participated in her very first primary program this month! She did a great job! We practiced her two lines for weeks and weeks and she delivered!

She was the first kid in the program. She stepped up, a bit hesitant and whispered into the mic, "mom, I don't want to do it!" Then she rambled off her lines. She even paused between, which we had been working on! Then she hopped off the step with a big thump! She did great! We were so proud. I may have cried.

Watching her up there was hysterical. She wasn't nervous in the slightest like many of the other kids looked. Most of the other kids her age sat and stood completely still trying to follow along and sing. Elliott was all over the place. At one point we could only see her feet sticking up! She has more energy than she knows what to do with! But she did fantastic...besides the mid program potty break we had to do! Haha!
Walking into church that morning.

Cutest little face!

Game Day!

We love University of South Carolina game days around here! Any excuse to all dress up matching is a good day in my book!

This particular day we went to Groucho's for lunch and watched the game together in the afternoon! A great day!

She has mastered the pout!

James Taylor

During the winter and spring, we had a girl's night group that got together every week to watch the Bachelor...and then the Bachelorette! This last season of the Bachelorette had a guy named James Taylor who also happened to be a singer/song writer. Needless to say, when we heard he was doing a show here in Columbia, we had to go! It was late at night on a Thursday, so a lot of people bailed, but three of us went and I'm so glad we did! We had the best time!

My text to Josh before I left. All dolled up for a night out!

Water, Diet Coke and a Red Bull. Haha!
We even got to meet him! He was super, super friendly! Maybe a little alcohol had an influence on it...or maybe a lot of alcohol. But either way, we had a great time!

September EdVenture

We've gotten together with friends a couple times recently for some morning, midweek play dates. One was at EdVenture. Such a fun place! The girls had a blast!

Cutest little firefighter!

Snip-its!

Elliott had her first real haircut! Finally...

When we moved to South Carolina, I cut all of Elliott's hair off! She went from long hair to a short bob! It was adorable, but I am no professional and it was looking pretty rough! I took her to a little place here called Snip-its. It was pretty cute. She had an ipad to play on, a little show to watch and got a prize afterwards. She loved it! And her cut looked adorable. Even though she didn't want anything drastic (gotta keep those Rapunzel locks...)!

Flamingo Four

The weekend after my mom left from her long stay, we had Elliott's birthday party! I can't believe we have a four year old!!

Elliott is one of the most outgoing children I know. She is busy, energetic, full of spunk and personality and not afraid to show you any of it! She can be mischievous and sneaky but loving and kind when it counts.

We started planning her party a couple months ago. She knew she wanted a pool party and since flamingos are so in, we made it a flamingo themed pool party! It was such a blast and I'm so happy with how it all turned out!

This was the first party Elliott has had where she's had multiple friends to invite. She always had Jack in Utah, which was, well, the best...but now she has a ward full of friends and so she was over the moon about inviting them all to come! Unfortunately, quite a few couldn't come, but we still had a great turn out and we had the best day! I don't think she'll ever forget this party!

Our traditional birthday photo! Amazing how much she's grown in four years!

The cake! Four layers of white cake with vanilla frosting. Magnolia leaves (some spray painted gold) and cake toppers I made with my cricut!

Present and party favor table! The party favors were inflatable flamingos with a small bag of candy and lip gloss for the girls and yo yos for the boys.

FOUR!

I am so sad! I didn't take any close up shots of the the table! We had chicken salad, pb&js, fruit salad, pineapple donuts (cinnamon sugar donuts with pineapple toppers), the cake and pink lemonade. The table was decorated with a magnolia leaf table runner and pineapples!

Cousins!

The party started with swimming! They swam for a good hour! The pool was cold because of a recent storm, but they still swam quite a bit!

We bought a few big floaties for the party! They were so much fun!

The first game was flamingo ring toss! Anne Tatum won with just one ring!! It was hard!

The next game was pineapple bowling! The ball was a coconut! It was pretty hard but they loved it! Jane and Kate won!

Present time!! Can you tell how much she loved this gift?! Morgan and Jenn's family knocked it out of the park with this one!

Pinata time!

I love these pictures! So much joy in pinatas!
