Almost a roll

Can't get enough of videos of Elliott, right? Well, here are a few more.

Bath Time!

This one has a fantastic smile in it! Seriously...the best one yet!

And this is a sweet video of her trying to roll over. It cracks me up  how she is calmly looking out the window and then suddenly flips onto her side. She gets so close, but I have yet to catch the magic on camera. She has rolled from her back to stomach once and her stomach to back a handful of times. You can see her trying though!

More of that adorable girl

Here are some pictures of Elliott from recently...

[This is her pooping face. Classic]

[He had just showered...don't worry..]

[Haha. Mad milk face]

[Rawr!]

[Whaaaa?]

[We got a Jenny Jump Up at my baby shower in Washington and even though she is way too tiny for it, I put her in it. It's adorable. Just just leans her head forward and I swing her. Well, she fell asleep. Don't worry, I didn't leave her in it once she was asleep.]

[Nap time in mommy's bed]

[This was not a good day for us]

[As per request...my diaper bag! I am so in love with it. It has already paid off multiple times. Petunia Pickle Bottom bags are a big investment, but totally, totally worth it!!]

[Nap time with daddy...don't you love her hand by her face!]

[We bought a carrier and she loves it! Woohoo. Thank goodness. Now I can use both hands during the day!]

[I just thought she looked so cute today in her little polka dot outfit!]

[I bought some knee high socks to make into leg warmers for her]

[I started taking pictures to show a tutorial..then I forgot...haha]

[So here they are finished!]

[Adorable! And they are so big so they should fit her until she's...well forever.]

[So cute!]

[Love those little legs!]

WIlde Oaks Oct '12

You guessed it, another trip to Wilde Oaks! This was also Elliott's first trip away from home. We headed out on Friday and got to the cabin around 5:30pm. It was us, Jacob, Valerie and Jack, Morgan, Jenn and Jane and Alyson and Nathan. Kelly and Perry were going to come to but ended up heading to California that weekend to see Perry's parents. We missed them lots! It was really fun having Alyson and Nathan there since it was their first time. And it was fun having Elliott there too. I will admit, it was different, but still fun.

On Friday night we ate this delicious corn, salsa, rice casserole stuff that you roll up in tortillas. It was so yummy! After dinner the boys decided to play their game that they play every week. The ended up playing for over 5 hours! It was ridiculous. The girls all went to bed before they finished. It was just too late. On Saturday we woke up to a delicious french toast casserole. Saturday involved hanging out, playing games, riding the four wheelers and eating lots of junk food. I brought six dozen chocolate chip cookies and came home with 2. As in 2 cookies, not 2 dozen. Haha. We ate our hearts out, that's for sure. The boys drove the four wheelers down to the area where there are jumps and stuff and had a lot of fun. It had rained all night so there was tons of mud! The boys came back covered in mud! From head to toe! It was actually hilarious when Jane saw Morgan she freaked out and would look at him, scream and turn away. Then look again, scream and turn away. It was a riot! For lunch we had delicious bbq chicken sandwiches.

[Friday night on the deck]

[My adorable baby girl]

Saturday night we did something that we've never done at the cabin. Alyson and Nathan brought a Murder Mystery for us to do. We got our characters a few days before so we could bring costumes. It was so much fun. I had never done one before. It was hilarious! My name was Ruby Lipps. I was a Vegas showgirl. The premis of the murder was this...

Valerie was getting married to Jacob (a motorcycle gang member) and at her wedding her dad was shot and killed. Jenn was Valerie's mom and the murdered man's ex-wife. Josh was the preacher at the wedding. I was Valerie's best friend and Morgan was a Vegas rockstar that was in love with me. Alyson and Nathan's characters were the hosts so they didn't really play into it all. It turned out that Valerie was the murderer! She killed her daddy! What a fun night it was. We did the party over dinner of pork and beef roast over potatoes and carrots with mashed potatoes and rolls. It was so delicious. After our murder mystery we all changed and then hung out and answered questions from Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus (the game). We basically changed the game so we played it like the Newlywed Game. It was fun.

Here are some pictures from the weekend...

[Alyson and Nathan taking a nap on Saturday afternoon]

[Haha. Cousins...such a great picture.]

[My new iphone takes panoramic photos..beautiful!]

[Four wheeling, just enjoying the view!]

[Adorable Jack]

[Jack...bouncing like crazy!]

[Another panorama]

[On Sunday morning Jacob found this horny toad...so of course we put it on Elliott's head...]

[Four wheeling]

[Josh on his four wheeler]

Sunday morning we woke up, ate cereal for breakfast and cleaned the cabin. We hung out a little bit, just talking while we waited for Jack to wake up from his nap and then we headed out. It was a super fun trip! Thanks Jake and Val for inviting us! We always have so much fun.

Birthday Weekend

Sunday was my birthday but since Sunday was...well, Sunday and because of Conference, we decided to do most of the celebrating on Monday (which works well since Monday is Josh's day off).
[Elliott with her teddy that her great, great grandma GG sent her]

But the weekend kicked off great all together. On Saturday Josh got home from work just in time to catch the last bit of the second session of conference. Then we put Elliott in her Gamecock onsie and we cheered on the #6 Gamecocks as they went against #5 Georgia. It was a great game. I almost felt a little bad for Georgia though. Everyone had predicted Georgia to win but South Carolina smoked them! It would have been a shut out but Georgia scored in the last few minutes of the game. I can't remember the score exactly but it was something like 35-7. That game win moved USC up to #3! Go Gamecocks! Elliott was a total stinker Saturday night so I was completely exhausted on Sunday morning. But we got up and watched conference then got ready and headed over to Morgan and Jenn's house. We Skyped Josh's family since the twins were here and Kendal and Matt were in SC. It was nice to catch up and see everyone. Then we watched the second session of conference and headed home. Josh had a work meeting on Sunday night (yes, on my birthday). So I went to that with him and then we came home. Alyson and Nathan brought me delicious pumpkin chocolate chip cookies on Sunday night and then Josh and I hit the sack. Monday morning Josh ran to Salt Lake to buy a baby swing we found on KSL and to do some birthday shopping, despite us discussing that we weren't going to get anything for our birthdays. I should have figured that wouldn't happen. He got home and we hung out, ate lunch and then I decided that for my birthday I wanted to take a drive up the canyon to look at the beautiful fall trees. So we packed up the car and headed into the canyon. It was beautiful!

The winding roads must have made Elliott sick (despite sleeping through it) because as soon as stopped at the waterfall off the side of the road she threw up. And since she was just waking up and didn't know it was about to happen...it all came out her nose. We felt so bad! But she didn't seem the least bit bothered. She didn't cry or seem upset at all. Poor thing. We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls and took some pictures and then we found this cool bridge and walking path near the falls and took some pictures there. The weather was beautiful! It wasn't too cold at all and the trees were gorgeous.

[Haha. Her head is so round]

[Me and my girl!]

[Our little family!]

[I love this picture!]

[Elliott loves her Bumbo. While I was getting ready on Monday I put her in it in front of the mirror and she stared at herself for 30 minutes while I got ready. It was so adorable!]

Then we rushed back home, I ran to the store to grab cake and then we headed to dinner. We planned a dinner with some close friends at Smash Burger. It is my favorite burger place here in town. I love it. I got a guacamole burger, sweet potato fries and I shared Josh's butterfinger shake! Yum. My friends were so sweet to bring me presents. Jacob and Val got both Josh and I (since his birthday is later this month) a fun game! We've never played it personally, but they swear it's fun. Alyson is taking me to get a pedicure! Woohoo. And Kelly got me this ADORABLE skirt from DownEast. Everyone totally spoiled me. Josh got me this beautiful necklace from Vintage Pearl. It has a little pearl and two charms. One says Elliott and the other says Josh. It hasn't come yet, it should come sometime this week. He also got me some fun drinks, some fall decorations for the house, beautiful cubic zirconium earrings and a gift card to the app store. And then he picked something out to be from Elliott. She got me this hilarious book that he knew I loved. It's called "Boo. The world's cutest dog." It's this ridiculous looking little dog and the people make little stories with him by dressing him up and other random things. It's so silly, but I find it hilarious. Dinner was fabulous! I just love my friends so much. After dinner we came back to our place for dessert. I picked out angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum. And then Alyson, Nathan and Kelly stayed to play some games. We played Guillotine and Uno. It was a lot of fun.  Overall, it was a fabulous birthday spent with fabulous people! Thanks everyone!

[Here is a picture of the book Elliott got me]

(I'm annoyed I didn't take any pictures at dinner or during dessert or games! Grrr..)

On a side note...I don't use the mesh thing in Elliott's bath anymore. She just sits in it like a big girl. She enjoys her baths way more now. She isn't completely stable, but she does pretty darn good!

And just a cute picture to end on. She just loves her daddy.
