Spencer Kid Photo Shoot

Yesterday I met Karen at the BYU botany pond to do a little photo shoot with the kids. I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out. The kids were really good...for the most part. It was a lot of fun and something I hadn't had the chance to do in a long time.

[jonah was all smiles...until the very end]

[there was always one kid not smiling!]

[this picture just cracks me up. I feel like Jacob's face is saying, "don't be mad, I'm trying to love her!"]

Promotion

Well, word is finally out, so I can tell my blogger world too! Josh got a big promotion at work. This means many things...

1. We will be in Provo a while longer than we had planned. At least another year.

2. Josh will not be working at 6am everyday anymore, but instead, will be closing every night.

3. Josh and I will not see each other at all in the fall.

Even those these can be seen in a negative light, this is a great blessing. Josh has been the catering guy at Kneaders since he was hired working 4-5 days a week from 6am-2pm. He is know working 5 days a week from 2:30-10:30pm. He is an assistant to the general manager and will be performing all the general manager tasks but with the night crew. He is really excited and I am, oh, so proud of him!
Plus, this will be a big pay raise!

Josh and I are both working at Kneaders right now but as soon as my student teaching starts in the fall, I will be quitting my job and spending all day every day at my assigned school. Unfortunately, this means Josh and I will be just missing each other everyday. I will kiss him goodbye at 7am and see him when he gets home at 10:30. Thank goodness he will have Saturdays off.

Well, that's our exciting news! :)

Babysitting

Tuesday was Joe and Karen's anniversary so I babysat all four kiddos! We watched Madagascar 2 and spent an hour or so at the park swinging, playing on the toys and playing in the water from the drinking fountain. I snapped this picture while we were all perched on the couch watching the movie. Aren't they adorable??

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to two great dads!

[the cards this year are done with paint. I did light brush strokes of black and green acrylic paints, let them dry, cut them out and used white stickers to do the lettering]

[not only do they look awesome, they feel really cool too

Lydia's Birthday!

I can't remember if I have already mentioned this or not...but, Joe and Karen (and the kids) are here! Joe is working at BYU for the summer so they are back for a couple of months. It's been so fun having them back. We always miss them when they're gone. Well, last week was little baby Lydia's first birthday. So, they had a party...and we went!

I bought Lydia some bath toys and a book and then I picked up some other toys for the kids at the Dollar Tree. I got them sidewalk chalk, a styrofoam airplane and a helicopter toy. They really enjoyed them. And Lydia loved her bath toys. She was such a cute birthday girl.

[don't let josh's face deceive you...he was having lots of fun]
[he might me frowning because he's wearing a little girl butterfly party hat...but i can't say for sure]

[opening her bath toys]
[Emma put Lydia's bow in the top of her hat. So cute]

[it looks like Jacob blows out the candle, but joe actually did]
