February 2 0 1 5 Wrap up

We finally bought Elliott a pillow for her crib. Pillowcases are lame and expensive so we went to JoAnns and bought some adorable fabric and quickly sewed a couple pillowcases for it!

Elliott picked both the fabrics herself. So cute!

Fast asleep with her pillow!

Piper's first time eating solids! We started with peas. She did surprisingly well. I think I forced solids on Elliott too early because it took forever for her to figure out how to swallow, but Piper ate that whole pile without spitting out hardly any. Go Piper!

Elliott loved helping!

For Valentine's Day, Josh and I didn't get each other gifts. Instead, we bought a mattress topper for our bed! Glorious I tell you. Elliott likes it too.

She flopped around on it all morning while it unfolded and aired out.

Cute girls! Piper is getting better at sitting up!

Piper knows how to get comfy!

Waking up to this sweet face looking at me is the best!

Time to get the cast off! Hooray!

The ankle.

And the calf.

And it's back to work!

Bye!

Barely fits!

Trying to feed her solids tonight and I couldn't get that thumb out of her mouth!

Elliott's poor bottom teeth are so crowded and crooked. Broccoli is the worst. Haha. So much food in those teeth!

February 2 0 1 5 cont . . .

You never know what you'll find with Elliott around...poor thing!
Putting a dime in her piggy bank for getting more stickers on her happy chart!
Piper is starting to sit up! Go Piper!

She's not all that stable yet. It just depends on the day.

I'm down a pant size since having Piper, so it was time for some shopping! Yay!

Elliott found the chocolate chips. Yikes.

This salad is so delicious! Sweet Kale. Yum.

Hannah and Chandler flew in for a week to see their fiances. We got to see them for one weekend. We went to Nickel City, went temple dress and garment shopping, went to Iggy's and stayed up late talking! They are marrying such great guys! I'm so happy for them. This game is a favorite of Jenn and I's. I had to take a picture and send it to her and say I missed her!

Riding in the truck at Nickel City.

Kendal threw a SNL 40th anniversary party! The decor and food was so clever and the show was hilarious! Fun night!

ITS SATURDAY NIGHT!

Drooooolll

I put together these binders for the girls. I've been meaning to do this for a long time! Those names are from the hospital when they were born. In the right corner of their names are their bows they wore in the hospital as well.

The binders have their ultrasound images, footprints, hospital bracelets, pediatrician records, Elliott's coloring pages, their birth announcements, and other big events from their lives. So fun to have it all in one place!

At the hospital waiting for Josh to get out of surgery! Elliott drew her first people! I drew the circle and rectangle. She did the arms, legs and face! So cute.

He's alive! The first thing he said when coming to was, "I had a dream I hired Tracy Jordan. Worst decision ever." haha.

Surgery went great. And thus started his one week break of being home with us! We loved having him around 24/7, even if he couldn't do anything.

The first couple days looked mostly like this as his anesthesia wore off and he was on major pain killers. He did great though.

A good look for elliott.

Even better.

Tanner (Chandler's fiance) came to dinner one night while Josh was down from surgery! It was such a great day. I made carnitas in the crock pot and we even played Cosmic Encounter with him! Then they got some video games in.

Every week the girls (me, Kelly, Valerie and Kelly's friend Emily) get together to watch the Bachelor. Last week Kelly made Bachelor Bingo cards! They were so funny and the prizes were so great!

Josh's foot poking out of the shower. Too funny.

We have a thumb sucker! I can't keep it out of her mouth!

I love having girls!

One of Elliott's prizes last week for her happy chart was a mommy date to get forzen yogurt! Such a fun date! We left Piper at home with daddy and had some one-on-one time together!

Yum! Elliott picked chocolate and banana ice cream with strawberries, m&m's, sprinkles, gummy bears and mini reeses cups.

That thumb. Always.
