Ward Lake Party

Our ward has a lake party each summer at one of the ward member's lake house! I am so glad we got to go this year. It was so much fun! We got to go out on the boat, ride Big Mable (the big tube), swim, jump off the dock, eat tons of good food and hang out with a bunch of great people! It was such a fun party! 

Piper mostly wandered around drinking water or eating food. This girls knows whats up!

4th of July 2016

The 4th of July was a blast this year! It fell on a Monday so we had the whole weekend, then Monday to spend together! 

We spent the weekend in Columbia, church on Sunday, then we headed up to Simpsonville to spend the holiday with Morgan and Jenn and some friends. We stopped by my dad's house on the way to grab some furniture he was giving us before his big move, so we ended up being late to the party! But it was so fun! They had made this giant slip n' slide on their hill in the backyard. It was out of control. A few people may have gotten hurt...haha. But it was so fun and the kids had a blast! We ate, enjoyed the company, let the kids do some sparklers and small fireworks before bed and then played a game and enjoyed the neighborhood fireworks that night! I think it was the first time that I can ever remember that I didn't go to a big firework show, but we had a great weekend none the less!

Summer 2016

We are obsessed with summer. What's not to love? Sun, swimming...oh wait, that's about it. And to be completely honest, summer in South Carolina is nothing like summer in Utah! At least some days were bearable. This summer has been terribly hot. But somehow, we're surviving! And making the most of those hot days! 

Zoo with Papa Max

Papa Max and Grandma Gwen love to spoil the girls! We already have zoo passes for the zoo here, but they insisted on taking us one Saturday and letting the girls do absolutely anything they wanted! And they did it all! Fed the farm animals, fed the giraffes, rode the train, rode the carousel, did a pony ride, and even got to pick gifts from the gift shop! It was so sweet and something Elliott will never forget! 

Virginia June '16

We get to see my sister so much more now we live so close! This month, we got to see her for a visit up at her house. We did a lot of the usual (Cafe Rio, shopping at the big mall, fun outside) but we also did a couple new things! We played a round of Settlers of Catan with the Cities and Knights expansion (our favorite!). We also went to a local lake and swam all day! The kids loved it! 

It was a great trip, as always! 

Piper got a new bathing suit at the mall and I'm completely obsessed with it.
