Before we even knew we were going to be leaving Utah, I planned to drive up to WA with my sister after their week visit in Utah. They had planned a week visiting Mark's family and then a drive up to WA and a week up there. I just knew I had to tag along.
I was so glad that I got to see a bit of Jamie and her family while they were in Utah. We got to see them a couple times actually! We spent one day shopping with them, another evening, just as adults talking and another day with Joe and Karen's family as well at the Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point. We had a blast.
Once her week was up, it was time to head up to WA. The drive wasn't bad at all. I was thankful to be caravanning and have another person in my car at all times. It helped the time pass much faster. We got to WA and spent the next week visiting friends, spending time with family and having so much fun.
I was able to spend time with Alyson (not a ton, but some) and a couple days with Kristin! I got to visit Cherrie too and see her adorable kiddos. It was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces at church on Sunday too. We went to a Dust Devil baseball game one night as well!

Elliott slept through the first half. In Piper's car seat. Haha.

After the 5th inning, all the kids run across the field. Elliott did it with Spencer, Taylor, George, Jack, Eva and Scarlett. So cute!

Early into the week, we took a trip to Seattle. We spent two full days there. It was such a blast. We got City Passes. We were able to do the Space Needle twice, the blown glass museum, a ferry boat tour of the harbor, the EMP and the Seattle Aquarium. It was so worth it. Those five things packed our days! We loved every minute of it.
We stayed in a hotel about 20 minutes from downtown and hit the town back up early the next morning.
After Seattle, we just had a couple days left in WA. We spent one afternoon at the river letting the kids play. We spent lots of time with my brother John and his adorable kids. We hit up Dairy Queen (of course), and Zips (even more of course) and Spudnut (the most of course). It was so much fun spending the week with my family. I was so bummed Josh couldn't come, we missed him a ton! But it really was a great week.
|
On the ferry boat an Asian lady took Piper hostage. She wasn't so sure about it. Hahaha.

On the way home from Seattle we got stuck in traffic waiting on a blasting zone. This looks dangerous, but I thought it was hilarious. None of the cars were moving. Most weren't even on.
