We had the most amazing “vacation” this last week. Josh’s family came to town (well, the ones that don’t already live here). Laurie and Bronson drove across the country with Josh’s sisters, Hannah and Chandler, to take them back to BYU-I for the semester. They came a few days before the girls had to be at school so we could all be together for a while. We spent the first few days staying busy around town.
We visited UVU one day (both Josh and Morgan’s school) and ate lunch at a yummy burger place. Then we found a great playground on campus and let the kids (and adults) play. While walking back to the cars we took some pictures and looked at the ducks in the big pond.

That night we met back up at Cafe Rio for dinner. Classic. Can’t go wrong with Cafe Rio. After dinner we went back to Morgan and Jenn’s, put the kids to bed and played “Head’s Up” which is a super fun iPhone group game. It was a great night.
The next day we planned the afternoon to be spent at the Provo Rec Center. We love that place. I got there about an hour before everyone else and so Elliott and I swam while Josh played racquetball with his parents. Jenn and the girls got there and we swam for another 2 hours. It was a LOT of swimming, but Elliott had a blast, and didn’t want to leave. I think I was more tired than her. Elliott is absolutely adorable in the water. She would swim all day if we let her. She jumps around, going under the water and popping back up. It’s slightly frightening, but I’m getting used to it. And she is getting a lot better and getting up on her own. She used to dive under with no clue how to get back up. It was a little scary for a while. But she loves it. I have to get that girl in swim lessons this summer.

That night after putting the kids down, the girls all went to The Chocolate and had a girl’s night out. It was delicious and so fun. I love those girls. We ate cazookies, which if you haven’t had, you need to and giant glasses of cold milk. Yum. I want to go there right now! Driving back from our girls night we had the windows down and we sang songs at the top of our lungs. It was a fun night.
