Family Visit

Last week my mom came to visit! And brought along with her, my sister-in-law, Sara, and her two little girls! They were here for 9 days and we had such a blast! Just before they arrived in town, Joe and Karen and their kids arrived in Provo for the summer. Joe will be teaching a couple classes at BYU during summer term! So they are here for 2.5 months! Woohoo! We love having more family around. And the same weekend my mom rolled in, Kendal (Josh's sister) and her husband Matt got into town! They will be here for an entire year! We are so excited for them to be here too.

While my mom was here we had a lot of fun. We ate out a ton! Taco truck, Blue Poblano, Kneaders, Chick-Fil-A, Lion House, Zupas, Gurus...But I can't complain, it was all so delicious! We took the train up to SLC for a day trip. We played games, watched movies, went to Nickel City, went to the Farmer's Market, played on the new splash pad, and went swimming at the new recreation center in Provo. Josh and I decided to go ahead and buy a full year pass while we were there. The rec center is so nice. It has a full gym, multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools, basketball, racquetball and classes. And for Josh and I, it was $299 for an entire year! That's $12 each/month. So excited about it. We spent an entire afternoon there with my family. It was a blast.

I can't wait until my mom comes again in August. Hopefully the whole family will be here! And my sister, who still has yet to meet Elliott, will be here too!!! Can't wait.

Here are some photos from the visit! We had a great time!

I bought these adorable earrings at the Farmer's Market. Love them.

We taught my mom and sister-in-law Robo Rally. It was hilarious.

  1. That all looks like so much fun! That pool looks like the Vets Pool. Is it? I used to work there when I was at BYU.
