Halfway!

Today marks week 20 in my pregnancy! We are officially halfway there! I really can't believe it. When I think about how long I've been pregnant, I believe it. But, when I think about how soon the baby will be here, I freak out a little bit. We have so much to do. Like move...so the baby has a place to live. Ha. I'm not too worried. Things seem to be on our side lately.

I feel our little girl move all the time now and I must agree with the millions of women that have said it before, it is the best feeling in the world. I know people say that eventually I will get sick of it when she's kicking me in the ribs, etc. But I just can't imagine how. I just love feeling her move. It's so reassuring. And she already has a good kick on her. I had my shirt up the other day just feeling her kick and I literally saw my stomach move. I tried so hard to catch a kick on camera, but our little girl is camera shy and would not kick when I was recording. Oh well, soon enough. Josh feels her kicking all the time too. He loves it. He likes to count her kicks. The other night she kicked his hand 11 times. I think she likes her daddy! :)

I can't wait to meet this little girl. I can't wait to see who she looks like and what kind of sweet personality she will have. It's all feeling so much more real now and I love it.

On another note, life has just grown much busier for a certain someone in our house. Josh has been promoted at work to General Manager! He had thought he might receive it once before, but this time, it came as a surprise! I am so proud of him. It's quite a jump in responsibility for him but we couldn't be more thankful for the timing of it all (with little girl arriving in just 20 weeks!).

Just a few things the promotion involves...

-a pay raise
-a few more responsibilities...well, actually a lot more
-5 paid vacation days
-a new snazzy shirt
-way more hours (50/week)
-working 6-4 (Tues-Sat)

It's a lot for Josh right now since he's still in school. But he's doing amazing. He's working his butt off to finish his classes before he transitions all the way to his new hours. I couldn't be prouder. It really is such a blessing for us. And he'll be graduating in just 3 short weeks! Woohoo!

Life seems just too perfect right now. Every night we lay in bed just saying over and over,"man, life is just so good." "We are so blessed."

I don't want to sound braggy...we just really are so happy. We have so many fun things coming up! I have a baby shower in a week, we are planning trips to see family, planning for the arrival of our little girl, etc, etc. Just so much exciting stuff!

Well, unfortunately I don't have any pictures...I really need to be better about taking pregnancy pictures. I've made a goal to take one each week from here on out...we'll see how that goes. The progress is just so slow at first! But things are picking up, so I'll try to be better. I've got an ultrasound on Monday so I'll be sure to post more pictures then!

Oh, also! I almost forgot. I'm reading an incredible book that I have to recommend. It's Stephanie Nielsen's book Heaven is Here. It's really so good. I started it last night and I will most likely finish it tonight. I can't put it down. Even if you are a follower of her blog, there is so much to learn. She reveals tons in her book that I didn't know about it. I feel so uplifted by her story! Seriously, it's super cheap on Amazon. Just go buy it. You won't regret it.
