The Cruise!

Well, we are back! What a trip it was. It was absolutely fabulous. The cruise/entire trip was way too long to be in one blog post so I'll be posting it by day. So, you'll have to keep checking in to see all the days! :)

Josh and I both worked all day last Friday, came home, cleaned the house, got packed and tried to hit the sack early. We didn't. Our flight left at 6am on Saturday morning (april 30th) and so we left for the airport (with Kendal) around 3:30am. It was rough. But we slept on the planes, so that was nice. Kendal borrowed our car for the week so we didn't have to park the car at the airport! Thanks Kendal! We woke up at 3:30am to this...

In case you can't tell...that's like 4 inches of snow. April 30th...snow. Ridiculous. But alas, it was there. And there wasn't just snow on the ground, nope, it was snowing. It snowed the whole way to the airport. It was actually a somewhat scary drive...but we made it and Kendal made it back to Provo safe too. You can probably imagine how amazing Florida felt after leaving this in the morning...

We got to Tampa around 2pm. Luckily Josh has a friend that lives in Tampa. His trainer from his mission lives just about 20 miles outside of the city and so we stayed there both before and after the cruise. We headed to their house and hung out with them for the next couple days. Along with hanging out we did a lot of catching up on sleep. We didn't want to be too tired on the cruise. Vevea (Josh's trainer) and his wife Courtney have an adorable little boy named NJ and so we got to hang out with that little guy too. We went out to an amazing restaurant the first night. It was some kind of authentic Italian pizzaria. It was fabulous. We even ordered a Nutella desert pizza. It was so good.

On Sunday night we drove to the airport and picked up Jacob and Valerie. They stayed with the Vevea's too since they all served their mission together and all knew each other. Our cruise left on Monday morning at 4pm. We found out though that they started letting people on at 12pm. So, Josh dropped the three of us off at the port, returned the rental car, took a shuttle to the port and we boarded!! :)
