Cruise Day 4

Day 4 consisted of our second and final stop; Cozumel, Mexico. We decided not to do a shore excursion in Cozumel and to just do our own thing. We got off the boat around 11am. Our first stop was to try and find a scooter rental place. Josh had done this during his last stay in Cozumel and really enjoyed it. We found a place willing to rent them for fairly cheap and we got our scooters. Josh and I shared one and Jacob and Valerie shared one. But, Jacob hadn't driven one before and after some troubles we decided to trade the scooters in for this guy...

Our car rental man referred to this as a Mexican Ferrari. It had nearly no brakes, was completely gutted and rusted out and well, barely ran. But, it was an adventure!

We drove around the island looking for a great beach to stop at. We stopped at San Fransisco Beach. It was shops, a restaurant, a pool and the ocean had big floaty things to play on. We were excited.

Josh, Jacob and I played on those for probably 45 minutes or so. Then it started raining and so we headed back on to shore. Valerie and I both got Henna tattoos. After holding and swimming with turtles all day the day before, I wanted a turtle tattoo. It's so cute.

For those of you who don't know...a henna tattoo is semi-permanent. It lasts 2-3 weeks. Valerie got a tattoo that looked really tribal. I don't have a picture, but it's really cute.

After we got our tattoos we ate some lunch; authentic Mexican food and the spiciest salsa I have ever tasted in my life. It was delicious. By this point the rain was starting to come down pretty hard. Then we remembered, our Mexican Ferrari (aka convertible VW bug) had the top down! Good thing it was already rusted out completely...3 inches of water on the floor, no problem. We got in the car to continue our adventure around the island but we had no windshield wipers and the rain was coming down like crazy! Josh just pushed through until we got to the other side of the island and it was beautiful and sunny.

We stopped at some shops that looked promising along the beach and also took some amazing photos. It was absolutely beautiful. Josh also bought that hat, and I bought that little fishy ring!

After driving around the entire island we returned the car and started back for the ship. On the walk back to the ship we stopped in a few little shops. Valerie bought some amazing alligator skin cowgirl boots. Josh and I picked up a few little things, including matching Cozumel T-shirts. Haha.

We got back on the ship and headed straight to dinner. After dinner we hit the Karaoke bar again. Jacob wanted to sing again...so he did! He's so funny!

Hopefully you all recognize this song. It's a classic. After Karaoke there was a big deck party to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. We checked it out, but it wasn't that great so we didn't stay long.

We were all really tired so we headed back to our rooms so we could get a full day of fun in on our last day.
