This semester is already proving to be a busy one. I am in what they call the "cohort" semester. I have six classes with the same 15 girls in every class. We are in the last little crunch time in preparation for going out into the schools. I am taking teaching literacy, teaching science, teaching social studies, teaching math, assessment and planning and management. I will be in classes Tues-Fri for the first 7 weeks of the semester. Starting on February 22 I will be placed in an elementary school in either the Alpine or Nebo school districts (anywhere from Santaquin [20 miles south] to Alpine [20 miles north]) where I will be teaching a grade between Kindergarten and 3rd. I will be in the classroom Mon-Wed and have classes Thur-Fri for the last 7 weeks of the semester. It's going to be crazy, stressful and busy but I am so excited!
Josh is working full-time this semester and I'm taking a semester off of work (since they highly recommend not working during your cohort semester). He is taking all online classes and still flying in preparation for his private pilot's license. He passed his written exam with a 95% and I think he is going to do just as well on his flight test. I couldn't be prouder.
We are making big budget plans to save up for a few things we've been wanting for a while (one thing including a cruise this summer). We are also paying off our car this month! I can't wait to not have car payments anymore.
Life is wonderful and fabulous and we couldn't be happier.
All sounds great! I am really happy for you guys! Paying off your car this month and saving for things! Sounds like Josh is still reading Dave Ramsey! Love you guys! Oh, and Taylor got her package yesterday. She loves, loves, loves them! Thanks for thinking of her. She loves you so much and it just made her day thinking you made them especially for her. Love you.
ReplyDeletegood luck with your classes and congrats on having your car paid off, I remember last year writing out a check for $13,000 to pay off my car, it was a huge amount but I'm glad I did it, no regrets
