Christmas in Columbia

On Christmas Eve Josh got a call from Delta saying our flight to Charlotte on Christmas morning had been cancelled and we wouldn't be flying in until Sunday. Not okay. Josh got on the phone and told them we had to get a flight for Christmas day. There were was only one flight that day from ABQ to Atlanta (where our connection was) and it was cancelled because of a storm. So we got on a different flight to Minneapolis. Since we were being redirected and all the times changed we got to check our bags for free and we also rode...first class. Oh yeah. We rode in style. I meant to take pictures with my phone of our pristine treatment, but I forgot. So I'll just tell you. We got drinks before the plane took off, we got drinks again once we were in the air, we got a lunch menu where we ordered lunch, before our lunch came we got hot towels to clean our hands, we got our lunch (a chicken sandwich on pretzel bread, a fruit bowl, chips and a brownie), got more drinks, got blankets and pillows and not to mention the big seat and extra foot room. It was delightful. I can't believe how nice it was.

We made it to Charlotte around 3pm. Josh's dad picked us up. On the way to Columbia Josh's dad stopped to pick up a girl walking on the highway. She was going to walk from Charlotte to West Columbia (about 110 miles). Ridiculous. So we gave her a ride. She was a little...odd, but very nice. We made it to Josh's house and I jumped right in the shower. We ate dinner with Josh's family and his grandparents. Then we opened gifts. his parents and sisters had already opened gifts that morning but we had all our gifts from our "family exchange" to open. So we opened those. Bronson (Josh's dad) had me. He got me the most adorable polka dot robe and a gift card. I had Morgan and got him these. So much fun. They are even more fun than they look. Morgan had Josh. He got him this.

"IN CASE OF
ZOMBIE ATTACK
 BREAK GLASS"

Awesome right? I'll have to post a picture when we put it up on the wall. Yes, it is going up in our bedroom...I'm such a great wife.

We bought Bronson this awesome giant kite from Costco for fun.

Doesn't Jenn look so excited about those itty bitty baby clothes?? :)
