Virginia is for Lovers

It was a wonderful weekend in Virginia!
My mom flew into Richmond last week to visit my sister and so on Thursday they drove down with the kids to see my place. We had some fun swimming in the apartment's swimming pool. The kids just swam and swam. I thought we would never get them out of the water.

After a long day at the pool I packed up my stuff and hopped in the car with them.
This was Josh and I's first nights apart. We talked about it after and decided that I thought it was going to be worse than it was and it was much worse than he thought it was going to be. Funny.

We got to Virginia on Thursday night and put the kids to bed.
On Friday we spent the morning at Henrichus in Chesterfield, VA.

Henrichus was the second settlement when the British came to the United States.

They had it set up to look like the old settlement and people around the camp telling us about how things were done in those days.
It was really fun to learn about the United State's history a little more.

After Henrichus we came home and ate some lunch.
When Mark got home from work he took Spencer and the girls had their night out.

We went and got our nails did :)
I chose a color I wouldn't normally choose. It looked pink when I put it on my fingernail but it turned out pretty orange. I'm really happy with it though!
Taylor got blue. Mom got red. Jamie got red.

After our nails we went to Panera for dinner.
I love Panera. I love their sandwiches, salads and soups. It is delicious!
On Saturday morning Spencer had a T-ball game.
I went to one of his T-ball games last summer and I must say,
he has improved a ton!

After Spencer's T-ball game and some lunch we hit the road to Williamsburg. Williamsburg is about an hour from Jamie's house so we had a little drive. Williamsburg is set up like it would have been back then. They even had soldiers out marching and their tents set up like a camp. It reminded me a lot of Nauvoo.
We had a lot of fun walking around, going in stores and watching the Red Coats.

Josh called on the drive home from Williamsburg to tell me he was almost there.
He beat us to the house!

When we got home we all hung out and relaxed.
On Sunday we went to church at 1 and then came home and ate dinner.
We hung out for a little bit and then packed up to leave.
It was hard leaving those little kiddos not to mention my sister and mom!

But I told the kids it wasn't a sad goodbye, just a "see you later"
It was a fabulous 4 days!!
Thank you so much Jamie and Mark for everything!!
