Random Update

Here is another little update with a few things I've been up to lately.

I posted a picture of the dining room table/bar that we got from Josh's parents a while back and I said that I would post a picture once I got some kind of runner/centerpiece for it. Well, here it is. 

I picked up the fabric at JoAnn's on a trip with Jenn to pick out fabric for a duvet cover she wanted to make. I had intended to buy fusible interfacing (which I also got) but found this fabric and decided it would look great as a runner. Especially with the candles. 

Sorry that picture is sideways. It's the right way up in it's folder but for some reason when I try to upload it, it uploads sideways. Anyways, I really like how it turned out.

It's the middle of the NBA finals for those of you without husbands who are sports crazy. And Josh had some of the guys over the other night to watch game 2. So being the sweet wife that I am, I made nachos. Unfortunately while opening the refried beans I sliced my finger on the can lid. Being the wimp that I am, upon seeing all the blood spewing from my finger, I started feeling very light-headed and queezy. Luckily I held it together while Josh wrapped it and I rushed to sit down. It wasn't until after I sat down that I regained my sight and hearing :\ (in case you've never passed out, those are both signs that you are about to)

So I may be a wimp, but there was a lot of blood. And it hurt like crazy. 

And no mom, I don't know when my last tetnus shot was.

Anyways, these pictures really make it seem like no big deal because they were taken 2 days after the incident but you can see that it's pretty swollen and since it's right across my knuckle I still have to keep it bandaged so that it doesn't split when I bend my finger. Yipee.

So there is only a little drop of blood, which looks so silly but you can see how swollen it is. 

And there's my handy dandy bandage. :)

Also, I've been making some cards. I really should be scrapbooking instead. I can always make cards but I might never have this much time to scrapbook again. Anyways, I made a couple cute ones today.

I really like how the second one turned out. Anyhow, that's about it for now.

Can't wait to see my sister and my mom in a couple weeks!! :)
