Midway Cabin

For our Thanksmas celebration, Josh's parents rented a beautiful cabin in Midway, UT. It had 5 bedrooms, plus what we called the "party room" with three sets of bunkbeds. It had two full kitchens, five bathrooms, ping pong, billiards, and a million tv's. It really was amazing! And it was set right up in the mountains but still close to the city so we could access everything we needed.

We got there Tuesday, unpacked, toured the house, played lots of ping pong and then we started dinner. Josh brought bread bowls and soup from Kneaders for dinner. Delicious. After dinner we set up our little three foot Christmas tree and everyone started bringing out the gifts to put under it. There were so many gifts! It wasn't just Josh's immediate family there. Josh's aunt Pam, her husband and three kids were there and Josh's grandma was also there. So there were a lot of gifts to be had! We gathered around and opened gifts. We did our small Titus family gift exchange which was awesome. Bronson had me this year and got me a beautiful South Carolina necklace from HandMade. Bronson has a special place in my heart and so anything from his is so precious to me. I adore this necklace. Morgan had Josh (again!) and got him these awesome leather taco things. They are for cords and headphones, to keep them organized in your bag. I had Chandler and made her a HOME sign with chipboard hollow letters, scrapbook paper, mod podge, and a bow. I also got her some leggings from F21 that she asked for. Josh had Hannah. He got her these giant googly eyes for her apartment, and a book on how to curb your cussing. It was an inside joke. Elliott was spoiled too. She got gifts from everyone it felt like. New clothes and toys! We also all got matching long sleeved SC shirts from Josh's grandma. They are awesome! And the last gift was everyone's own personalized deck of cards for Oh Heck! Amazing! Needless to say, it was a great night.

Everybody's new cards! Josh's is in the middle-right and mine is the bottom left (fox family!).

Wednesday was another jam-packed day, full of fun. Josh got up and made Kneaders french toast for breakfast. I didn't have any (it's just too sweet for me), but I heard it was better than the stuff in the restaurant. :) While he was cooking I got Elliott and I ready. We quickly ate and then Bronson and I drove around to look for a few photo locations for family photos, which were at 10am. The photographer got there shortly after we got back. We used Clark Goldsberry for our photos. Ah-mazing! Seriously. We should be getting them back soon, but he showed us some during the shoot and dang! So good. I can't wait to put together our Christmas cards with them!

Let's go take some pictures!

Here's one we snapped with our iphone before heading to get shakes!

The photo shoot went amazingly. We did some with the mountains behind us, some near a barn and some in this old abandoned area. It was a lot of fun and Clark was so flexible. We loved him. After we were done with photos we went to Dairy Keen in Heber City to get shakes. And of course, we brought along Clark. Seriously, I wasn't kidding when I said he was flexible. He was so sweet. We ate shakes and then headed back to the cabin.

Elliott dipping her fries in my shake. Don't mind my face. Ha.

Clark just eating shakes with the fam.

When we got back, our family took naps. Love napping. After our naps we got ready to go to the Homestead Crater. We had all talked about going but weren't sure if it was worth it. But I'm glad we did it. It's a once in a lifetime kind of thing and it was really neat. It's a giant crater in the middle of town with 95 degree water inside. They've made it pretty user friendly with a dock, lights, a little sitting areas but it's all natural. I stole these pictures from Jenn's blog. I brought my underwater camera but I forgot a memory card, so I had to use Jenn's. So, she has all the pictures. When I get them I'll post more. :)

The water was so warm. It was wonderful.

More of our Thanksmas festivities coming soon!
