I feel like lately every blog post of mine starts with, "oh man, I'm so behind!" Well, I am. Again. Story of my life.
We have been so busy these last few weeks and then plagued with sickness right after, so I have an excuse. Yeah?
This year, all of Josh's siblings are out west. It just doesn't make sense to fly all five siblings and their families out East for Christmas when Josh's parents could fly out here for a fraction of the cost. And since Bronson (Josh's dad) has to work this Christmas, we had a Titus Thanksmas celebration (Thanksgiving Christmas). It was wonderful. It started the week before Thanksgiving.
Josh's parents flew in the Friday before Thanksgiving. We all met up at Morgan and Jenn's house to say hi and then we headed to the Provo Rec Center for some swimming! Well, the guys played racquetball while the girls swam. It was a blast. After swimming we had Cafe Rio for dinner, which is always delicious.
Saturday morning we got a babysitter for the three girls and the entire family went to the temple. It was so wonderful. If you haven't been since the new video was released, go! It's incredible. It definitely set a great mood for the week.
After the temple we went to UVU and showed Josh's parents around the campus. That was Josh's school for five years and is currently Morgan's school as well. We stopped at J Dawgs afterwards and ate lunch. Elliott passed out in the car on the way to lunch and was dead to the world. I haven't seen her that asleep in a long time. It was adorable.
We made a little bed on the floor of the restaurant to let her sleep, but of course when we tried to lay her down, she woke up. Oh well. After lunch we headed home to try and give Elliott a real nap. She wouldn't nap. Of course. Kate's birthday party was at 4 so we left at 3:30 to run to Kneaders on the way and pick up some food for Josh's parents. Josh got stuck talking to some customer for 30 minutes and we ended up being 20 minutes late to the party. So terrible. It was a long day. But Kate's party was adorable. Jenn did a great job with the food and decorations. She even organized games for the babies. So cute.
After Kate's party we went to Guru's for dinner. I love Guru's. It was delicious as always, but the service was terrible and we ended up getting half of our bill taken off! Score.
Sunday we went to Morgan and Jenn's ward for church so we could all be together. I went to Sunday School but then Elliott was being crazy so I went and joined Jenn in the nursery. Elliott will go to nursery in just two and a half months, but that couldn't seem further away. Nursery was a blast. She was a little hesitant, but I think she'll be more than ready in a couple months. During nursery we were singing songs and I noticed some blood on Elliott's lip. I grabbed a tissue and looked for the culprit. Turned out she had cut another molar. How crazy?! I have never heard of babies bleeding so much when they cut teeth but this was the second one that has bled a bunch! So strange. She is so tough!
After church Josh's parents and Kendal left for Idaho to go spend a day with Hannah and Chandler and bring them back to Provo! They got back on Monday evening. We had some pizza for dinner, planned out the food for the rest of the week and hit the sack! Hannah and Chandler and Josh's grandma stayed at Morgan and Jenn's so Josh's parents came and stayed at our place Monday night, which is always a treat! Tuesday morning was an intense grocery shopping trip at Winco (three shopping carts full) before we hit the road for the cabin!
And that is another post in and of itself!
