At the beginning of November we threw a Harry Potter party. Kendal had been wanting to do it for a long time and decided to do it for her 24th birthday. Since our family has so many birthdays in October/the beginning of November, we made it a big combined party. We got together a couple times to plan it out and divvy up the responsibilities. I prepared a big list of things, but after everything was done, Jenn and Kendal did the brunt of it. It was a stressful time for Josh and I and we just didn't have the time or funding to do a lot. The day of the party and the night before, Kendal spent all her time at Jenn's helping set up. We only have one car so I couldn't go over before the party and help which really bummed me out, but it ended up turning out amazing.
Of course Elliott was pretty miserable (it was right before bedtime) so we had to leave early, but I think everyone that came had a great time.

[It was kinda funny. I had planned on making Elliott Doby but saw the Jane's costume one time when we were over at their house so I decided to make her an owl. The day I was going to buy the stuff I found out Kate was being an owl. So I got creative and made Elliott my patronus. I was Ron and she was an all white Jack Russell Terrier (Ron's patronus). Josh was Draco Malfoy.]
