Come on Spring!

We had a week or so last week that was absolutely beautiful. The temperature was in the 60s and the sun was out. I really feel spring coming!

We've have been pretty busy the last couple weeks. 

Last weekend Alyson's husband, Nathan, had his head shaved to help raise money for children with cancer. Josh had to work so Elliott and I tagged along. It was beautiful that day and Elliott looked very springy!

It was really inspiring to see how many people who were at Provo Beach Resort for other things signed up to have their head shaved and donate money. Some man donated $500! Really neat. I thought about shaving my head...but I just couldn't.

My brother Joe came for a visit for 5 days! We always love seeing Joe when he comes for conferences on campus. We didn't see a ton of him, but we had a couple days to spend most the day together. We had a lot of fun. We went to Bombay House, got Creamery ice cream, played games and just hung out. Elliott absolutely loved Joe. She smiled every time he walked in the room. Even if he was busy doing something on his computer she would just stare at him and smile. It was adorable. 

And in case you haven't noticed, I have been doing a lot of sewing. I made circle skirts, a tag blanket, pillow covers...and my next project will be a quilt for Elliott. I'm really excited about it. I can't wait to get started. I still need to find a few more things for it before I can start it. But soon! Whenever I sew or buy fabric I let Elliott play with my stuff. This time, she looked like a little bride. So cute.

So, Josh used to have Saturday's off work but it has switched to Mondays. So now, Monday's are our date nights. We go out to eat every Monday. This week we went to CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) and the only reason I mention it is because we had the most delicious desserts you could ever imagine. Josh had red velvet cake and I had this salted caramel pudding. Seriously the best dessert ever. I'm going to try and recreate it sometime soon! 

And besides all that, Elliott and I just hang out together all day. It's the best.

What can I say? She's naked a lot.

Out to dinner at Station 22 last Monday. Elliott sits in the high chairs now. She loves it. She kicks her legs and bounces.
