Preparation for Valentines Day!

There are two holidays each year that involve quite a bit of planning on behalf of Josh and I; Valentine's Day and our anniversary. Last year Josh planned both so this year, I'm in charge. We are doing it tonight but I'm posting this because I'm almost sure Josh won't check it before tonight :) We are going to dinner, doing some fun things at the house (details later) and then we're going dancing with Morgan and Jenn. After dancing we are coming back to the house and I have prepared some fun desserts! I made chocolate covered strawberries (pretty simple but a great valentines treat) and I saved the best for last! Chocolate bowls!

The strawberries just after they were dipped.

Cooling in the fridge!

The chocolate bowls are made by dipped 4" balloons in melted chocolate and then placing the balloons in the freezer.

After they are fully frozen, pull them out and....

pop the balloons. Actually, popping will cause the chocolate to crack so I just let the air out slowly. Once the air was out I pealed the balloon off the bowl and...

I have beautiful chocolate bowls!!

How fun is that?! We are going to put ice cream and brownies in them! Delicious!

And as a little Valentine's side note...Josh came by my work yesterday with...

THESE! Aren't they beautiful? What a sweetheart!

Happy Valentines Day!!

I will post more after everything tonight!
