Giving Thanks!

Well, it was quite the weekend here at the Titus home! Mom, John, Sara and the kids rolled in on Tuesday night around midnight. Mom stayed at our house and John and Sara stayed with Joe and Karen. We spent most of Wednesday hanging out with everyone and spending time with all the kids! How I missed those little kids! Eva is so big now! Last time I saw her she was just a little thing, now she is crawling all over the place and pulling herself up on the furniture! What a little doll. George and Jack were cute as always. They have become so lovey! They would give me hugs and kisses randomly all the time! I loved it!

On Wednesday we ran around to every store in town prepping everything for the big dinner on Thursday. I had to pick up some last minute food items and mom did quite a bit of Christmas shopping! Thursday morning we headed over to Joe and Karen's bright and early to spend some time before heading back to the house to cook. We split dinner up between three houses. We cooked some, Joe and Karen cooked some and Morgan and Jenn cooked some! We ended up eating dinner around 3pm. It was a great big dinner with a fun combination of family. We had 10 adults and 6 kids and 1 wonderful meal.

After dinner Jenn, Morgan, Josh and I took all six kids to the park and played for about an hour! They were so adorable! It was fun to see them all playing together. I was in charge of the two little ones (Jonah and Eva), Josh was in charge of George, Jenn had Jack and Morgan had Jacob. Emma was in charge of herself. We figured that way we wouldn't lose anybody. I probably counted those children 15 or 20 times :) We had a lot of fun though! The kids laughed so much!

On Thursday night me, Josh, Mom, Sara, Morgan and Jenn went to see the Blind Side. It was a great Thanksgiving movie! A real feel good movie and very inspiring. It made us all want to go out and give to people. And I don't know about everyone else but it really made me want to have a strong southern accent. We played some games at Joe and Karen's on Thursday night. Morgan and Jenn brought over their game called Things. It's a great game; a combination between Baulderdash and Apples to Apples. We actually played it twice over the weekend, which proves how popular it was.

On Friday Josh was supposed to work but to our great surprise got the day off! They were apparently much less busy than they had planned. This was perfect because he got to come to Salt Lake with everybody. We ate lunch and then headed to Sandy in our cars where we caught the Trax. It took us straight to Temple Square. We walked around all night looking at the lights and enjoying the spirit of Christmas. The lights were beautiful as always!

We ate a a little restaurant/soup kitchen called One World, Everybody Eats. It wasn't exactly what we thought it was going to be, but it was a fun experience and it made for a lot of laughs when we played Things! :) I have never heard so many cockroach jokes in my life!

Saturday we spent doing lots of things! We started at the BYU bookstore in the morning and from there headed straight to Cafe Rio. My favorite! We decided from there that it would be fun to watch the BYU vs. Utah game that was showing. We put the boys in the living room with all the kids and while they watched the game we made our gingerbread houses in the kitchen. (We put the game on the radio and listened to it). Our houses turned out very cute! And I know own three! Thanks mom and Sara!

We had a little trip to the mall on Saturday night to look for some jeans for Josh but we were quite unsuccessful. From there we headed back to Joe and Karen's to play games. We played Things again. So many funny jokes. Pogo sticking naked anyone?

All in all it was a fantastic break! It was so fun spending so much time with family and friends! It was great for me to reflect on all the things I am incredibly thankful for.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
