Josh and I finished finals around the middle of December and headed for Washington on the 17th. After missing our flight, we finally made it there late that night. Our trip to Washington was such a fun time. We did a few things around town but spent most of our time hanging out as a family. I must tell you, I can't get enough of my nieces and nephews. There is something so special about being an aunt and now that I have Uncle Josh to associate with, I seem to be more popular! (Especially with George and Jack). Those boys LOVE Josh! Well, our trip to Washington went really fast, but we really enjoyed seeing mom, John, Sara and the kids.
Apparently I haven't taken any of the photos from Washington off my camera yet so I will have to post some of those at a later time. Most of them are of the kids anyways. :)
We flew back into Salt Lake on the 25th, landing about 10 minutes before Josh's parents. We packed me, Josh, Laurie, Bronson, Kendal, Hannah and Chandler and all of our luggage into our 4-seater Element and drove to Provo. Morgan and Jenn got in on the 26th and we did our family Christmas that night. We spent the next few days and Josh's uncle Adam's house up on the shelf in Provo. He has owned this house for quite some time but just recently has finished remodeling it. It's absolutely beautiful. I didn't take any pictures of the house alone but I did take some of family in the house so make sure and look closely! It was a big party in that house. It has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms but we still felt crowded. Luckily, being married merits you for your own bedroom :) On Monday we all hit the slopes. We went up to sundance and spent the day snowboarding (some people skied) It was such a blast! We did quite a bit of sledding as well over the next couple days. On Tuesday we went to the Mount Timpanogos temple and did baptisms as a family. That was really fun and such a beautiful temple. On Wednesday we all headed down to Las Vegas. Josh's uncle Adam who owns the house in Provo actually lives in Vegas so we went down there and stayed a few days at their actual house. It's not even close to as extravagant as the house in Provo, but still very nice. Adam does a lot of contracting and design for the hotels in Vegas so he has a lot of connections. We saw Phantom of the Opera on Wednesday night, saw another show called Le Reve on Friday night. We ate at 2 really nice restaurants in the hotels. We took a hot air balloon ride that had a great view of the strip. We went in a 100% exclusive club in the Hard Rock Hotel. We road rollercoasters. We got special tours. And we spent New Years eve living it up on the strip! You name it, we did it. It was such a great time! We got back on Saturday afternoon and headed up to SLC to see the lights at temple square. Unfortunately, the lights were already turned off so we didn't get to see them. We headed to Cafe Rio for dinner after that before heading back to Provo. After eating I started feeling incredibly sick and spent about an hour sitting over the toilet in the Cafe Rio bathroom while the whole family was waiting in the car. How embarrassing. :/ We did make it back to Provo and I went straight to bed only to wake up in the middle of the night to throw up. I spent the next two days becoming well acquainted with the toilet. Unfortunately, it was Josh's family last 2 days in Provo so I was bummed about that. We did get the chance to go to IKEA and I wanted to go so I just had Josh push me around in a wheel chair so I didn't have to walk. It was a rough couple of days, but I'm feeling much better now!

Josh and I are getting back into the swing of things now. I didn't go back to school until Thursday which was pretty stressful but I'm all caught up in my classes. Josh is looking for a job. He quit his job at Sam's Club because they wouldn't give him any time off for Christmas. He has applied at a million places and is waiting for calls. I'm still working in the kindergarten and loving it.
So, that was our Christmas. It was such a blast! We stayed so busy!! And I got so many wonderful gifts! My mom got me the crop-a-dile for scrapbooking and a stocking full of fun things. Bronson and Laurie's gift to us was paying for everything while they were in town. (including the shows in Vegas) Josh got me 2 pairs of new boots, a game, a new coat, chocolate, a bunch of little things and...A GARBAGE DISPOSAL!! I know that sounds silly but I am so incredibly excited about this gift!! :) It is going to make life so much easier!!
In emptying my camera, I found a whole bunch of old pictures that I haven't blogged about so I may have to do some backtracking with time and post some of those pictures! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year!
Super fun update! Sounds like so much fun! Love you!
