Blogs

I have been such a bum lately when it comes to blogging. I have been extremely busy with school and work. I am on campus from 7:45-4 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays from 10:30-6 and Thursdays from 12-3. Thursday is the only day that I spend more hours in the day with Josh than on campus (besides the weekend of course)! What a bummer. And, unfortunately Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days that Josh is on UVU campus. We are surviving though. We really thought it was going to be worse. We still feel very blessed. But as you can imagine, most of my nights are spent doing homework, making dinner and hanging out with my best friend. They are not spent blogging. I really want to blog more though because there is so much to say!

Despite how busy we are, we have managed to have some fun!

Most recently, Josh's brother Morgan and his wife Jenn rolled into Provo. They were living in Seattle selling for the summer and they are going to live here until next summer when they go somewhere else to sell. We are very excited to have more family here! They rolled in around 3am on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. We went over to their little house on Thursday and helped them clean a little bit. I think Josh and Morgan are loving it because Jenn and I have made dinner every night for them. :) It's going to be great learning all these new recipes from Jenn. She loves cooking and she's really good! We're going to do a lot of cooking. Maybe it will encourage me to cook for Josh more.

Today we spent our day watching conference with Morgan and Jenn. In between sessions Josh and I drove to Target and walked around, just to get out of the house. We love Target, what can we say. Walking around Target just happened to turn into spending $61.38 at Target. Still not sure how that one happened. Oh well? :/ Josh and Morgan are at priesthood session now and so I cleaned the whole house. Then I looked at what homework I have for Monday but decided I would rather spend my time writing this blog.

Josh and I are having dinner alone tonight. We're making salmon! We made some a couple of weeks ago and cooked it in tin foil in the oven. This time, we're cooking it on the grill. We bought cedar planks at Target to cook them on. One of the contributors to the $61.38. But it should be delicious.

Our birthdays are coming up. My birthday is in 4 days and Josh's is in 23 days. I can't believe how fast my birthday has snuck up on me! I will be 21. Pretty insane. That's not as big as Josh though, he is going to be the big 25! He is pretty excited.

I have asked for only a handful of things for my birthday. I'm not expecting to get all of them. I just gave Josh a list of things I wanted.

First and foremost: A laptop. It's my own fault that I don't have a working laptop. My old one broke and Josh never said I couldn't get a new one, but he told me I had to take it to get it looked at and I didn't want to, so it never got done. So in a sneaky way of getting out of that, I asked for one for my birthday. I don't want an expensive one. I asked for either a netbook or a very small scale laptop. We'll see.

Second: A cell phone. My phone broke at the amusement park in South Carolina on a water ride. I've been using our free one from when we first got our contract with AT&T. It works great but it the simplest cell phone that doesn't really do anything but make calls and text. It works for now, but eventually I want something better.

Third: Socks. With winter quickly approaching, I've really been wanting some warm socks. I have a lot, but I always love new ones!

Fourth: My new name put on my scriptures. I have a set of scriptures that don't have my name on them at all so I asked to get my new name put on them. That would be fun!

That's pretty much all I could think of. I know it sounds like a lot, especially with that hefty first gift but it was a need anyways that would have been bought at any point. It's just my lazy way of getting one. :)

Josh hasn't really told me what he wants for his birthday. He's pretty much said that we don't need to buy him anything, but that will not fly.

I think he wants a ski pass for the winter and a couple video games. Something like that, I should probably figure that out soon! Anyways, pretty exciting stuff.

Well that's about it for tonight. Most of our updates are done via pictures via facebook. So hopefully y'all look at those.
