Moving to South Carolina has had a lot of perks, but one of the best has been living so much closer to my sister! She is in southern Virginia, and now only 5 hours from me.
So as soon as I got here, we started planning a time I could get up there to see her. She had already purchased her ticket to Time Out For Women and so I figured out babysitting and bought my ticket too!
I drove up there on Friday morning and got there late afternoon. We ate dinner and got ready and headed to the Friday night portion of it. The speakers and musical numbers were all so good! Then we were in the conference almost all day on Saturday. Again, more amazing speakers and musical guests. On Saturday night we went to Target and Lowes to browse and see Jamie's kitchen plans. Sunday morning we all hung out and lounged before I left around noon.
It was such a fun weekend. TOFW was such a relaxing, needed weekend for me. To be quite honest, I was feeling pretty overwhelmed with motherhood. Moving so many times and then going on countless vacations has really been so difficult on all of us. Elliott has had a very hard couple of months. And I had been feeling very overwhelmed and just burned out! It was wonderful having a couple days to refocus myself and give myself some time to unwind and get my head straight.
But man, I missed my girls! I was so happy to see Josh and my sweet girls after just a couple days.
