Thanksgiving '14

This year's Thanksgiving was awesome. I love Thanksgiving. It started bright and early at Morgan and Jenn's for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I love that parade. So fun. And the kids thought it was pretty fun too. During the parade all the ladies were in the kitchen getting things ready for lunch. Kendal and Matt showed up around noon and Morgan went to pick up Josh (he was sick the night before). The spread was amazing, as always. This year we had pheasant for dinner. Morgan went pheasant hunting recently with some big-wigs from his new company so they had a ton of pheasant in their freezer. The pheasant was so delicious. I was so surprised. I had pretty low expectations, but it was super good! We also had mashed potatoes, creamed corn, green beans, rolls, cranberries, stuffing and three delicious pies! After lunch, we relaxed a bit, Kate took a nap, Jane and Elliott played, I may have dozed off for a little bit, we played Rook, ate pie and talked. It was a great afternoon. We FaceTimed some family and then got ready for second dinner. Kendal and I ran outside with the kids while Morgan got the food ready. They were adorable. We played hide and seek. They loved it. We ate second dinner, put the kids to bed and then watched The Giver. What a great movie. I love that book, so the movie wasn't as good, but it was still great. What a great Thanksgiving!

While we played Rook, we put a movie on for the girls. And we look in and Jane and Kate are cuddled under the blanket and then Elliott's off to the side in Max's bumbo...haha. Weird kids.
