Last week, Josh and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. It's still so hard to believe we've been married 6 years. Since when did we move out of that "newleywed" stage and into the stage of having kids and being old marrieds? Still so crazy. But a good crazy, of course.
Like I'm sure I've mentioned before, Josh and I take turns each year planning our anniversary. Remember last year? One of the best anniversaries ever? Josh planned it (of course). So it was my year this year. I feel like I'm going to have all the hard years for the next while because I have the pregnant Danna anniversaries. Two years ago I looked like this on our anniversary.
And this year, I'm just about a month behind that, but feeling just as big.

So since these anniversaries fall during the end of my pregnancies, I feel like we can't do anything too wild and crazy, but I think I nailed it this year.
Josh and I love the show Nashville. And this year they announced a tour! After the much anticipated tour, they turned out to only book one location: Park City, Utah. Score! There were five performers from the show that sang at the concert. It gave me even more respect for the actors. Not only are they all great actors, they were seriously incredible live singers.
We had originally asked a friend from Kneaders to babysit (one of Elliott's favorite babysitters) but she was working that night and couldn't find anyone to cover her shift. After some last minute scrambling, Jacob and Valerie so graciously offered to watch Elliott. But on Friday she started sneezing a ton and by Saturday morning, it was obvious she was pretty sick. She has been her happy self through it all, but she had a runny nose and a bit of a cough. I just couldn't have them babysit her with a newborn in their house. So after even more last, last minute scrambling, Kendal agreed to watch her despite moving to Sandy that day! Talk about a lifesaver. I know it wasn't very convenient for them, but she was so sweet about it. We took Elliott up to their new place in Sandy around 5pm and headed to dinner. We ate at a new restaurant (to us) in SLC called Settebello. It's an adorable Italian restaurant with delicious, authentic pizza! We liked it a lot. We got an appetizer, shared a pizza and then got a dessert pizza as well! The dessert pizza had nutella, strawberries, powdered sugar and sliced almonds. Yum. It was so good.
After dinner we headed through Parley's canyon to Park City. The concert was at the Deer Valley outdoor amphitheater. We had never been there, but it was a great venue! We just brought a couple blankets and camped out in the grass. The first performers were Lennon and Maisy Stella, who got famous from YouTube. They are sisters (15 and 9 years old) and seriously so adorable. They are also unbelievably talented. I was so impressed with their voices. Raw, raw talent. Up next was Chris Carmack. He plays Will in the show. He was another of my favorites. He wasn't advertised for, but I'm so glad he was there. He was so good. Next up was Clare Bowen (Scarlett) and she was amazing. She has a Australian, country accent. It's so different, but really beautiful and unique. I love it. And up last was Charles Esten (Deacon). He was definitely the most country of everyone and I loved his songs. He played a couple slow songs from the show, but he mostly did upbeat songs that he had written himself. So much fun! Overall, the concert was amazing. Josh and I were completely underdressed though! I had checked the weather, but I thought it was going to be 60 degrees and by the time we left, it was 40. I had on flip flops and a 3/4 length sleeved cardigan. Luckily we brought a blanket to sit on and one to share, so that helped a little, but we were pretty much freezing by the end! It was still amazing though!
It was such a fun night! I am so thankful for my husband and how he cares for me and loves me through everything. We've been through a lot in our short six years, but I'm thankful to have him by my side through it all. Happy anniversary Joshie! Love you!
