We stayed pretty busy all week. My mom got in a few days before my sister and stayed at our house. We kept things pretty low key those days. My sister and her family stayed up in SLC the week before they came down here so on Sunday Jamie and her husband Mark drove down to see us (since Mark would be leaving before they came down to Provo). Then my sister and her kids came down on Tuesday. I can't remember the exact days for anything, but we did a ton!
We did a bunch of shopping since my sister lives in VA and doesn't have a lot of great modest stores to shop at. We bought quite a bit. And found that my sister and I have pretty similar taste in clothes. Not only were we wearing the same capris when she came on Sunday but we bought four of the same tops. Good thing we live across the country from each other. Well, not good really. But in this case.
We ate out a ton (as always). We ate at Kneaders three times, Cafe Rio, Diego's, the mall, Winger's (and more I'm sure that I'm forgetting).
We hit up the Provo Rec. Center, which is a blast. The kids loved it. We seriously love that place. It's so fun.
We did some scrapbook shopping at Archivers and JoAnn's.
Everyone but me, Jamie and Elliott hiked the Y. :) We had a relaxing morning just hanging out, glad we weren't up there.
We went to the tumbling gym which was also a blast. Luckily my mom and sister volunteered to play with Elliott so I could play on the stuff with the older kids.
We went to the Farmer's market on Saturday and the kids played in the splash pad.
Also on Saturday, we took family pictures by the fabulous Alyson Wallace. I can't wait to see how they turned out.
We had a big combined birthday party on Sunday which included a few gifts and cake of course!
We also went to the Kneaders employee party on Sunday. It was a BBQ at the park and was yummy food and a great way to let the kids get some energy out!
We went to Nickel City which happens to be one of Josh and I's guilty pleasures. Seriously, it's so fun. I waste so many nickels on stupid machines. But there is something about getting a bunch of tickets that just makes me feel so happy!
There was also a lot of game playing and late nights up talking.
Needless to stay, we stayed very busy and we had so much fun. I will be seeing my mom at Christmas so that goodbye wasn't as hard, but I'm not sure when I will see my sister and her family again. I don't like to think about it. It has to be sooner than 2 years from now, that's for sure!
Josh spent pretty much his entire Sunday at Kneaders working on stuff for the health inspector. It sucked. But, luckily Kneaders is closed on Sundays, so that is a rare occasion.
Elliott go her leg stuck in the cart at Costco.
Jacob playing with Elliott.
Some awesome selfies that Jonah took.
Me and Emma...reading maybe?
Awesomely blurry photo by Jacob.
Elliott giving Lydia kisses.
My delicious play dough dinner. Chow mein, raspberries and cream soda. There was a menu and everything.
Elliott and Micah playing with the laptop.
Taylor jumping from the rope swing at the tumbling gym.
And Spencer doing the same.
Me and my beautiful niece Taylor. Seriously, she is so cute.
Elliott had some awesome naps that week.
On Sunday we had a combined b-day party for my mom (Aug 8), Joe (Aug 18), Micah (Aug 28) and Elliott (Aug 30).
This was taken right after Josh dropped the cake. Luckily it landed right side up!
Yum!
Opening her present. She didn't care about what was inside. She just wanted the letters on the bag.
Eventually we got her to open it. A beautiful London Fog coat from Grandma!
Happy early b-day sweet girl!
Now Micah knows how to pose for pictures!
All the kiddos.
At the Kneaders BBQ. Kendal chose to smash Josh with a pie.
My family all said goodbye to Elliott on Monday night, but she decided to be up from 2-5am on Tuesday when they left, so we snapped this goodbye photo! So sweet. Love you guys and miss you all so much!
