Sweet Elliott Faye

I feel like I have nothing to blog about these days but my sweet girl Elliott. Well, let's admit it, she consumes my days. Josh heads to work around 5am M-F. He kisses me goodbye and I roll over and drift back to sleep. Elliott usually wakes up between 6 and 7am. I feed her and she goes right back down for another hour or 2. We are usually up between 8 and 9am.

We get up, play in my bed, read books, play on Elliott's floor, etc. Then she is ready for her next nap. Usually around 10-11am. During that time I work out and hop in the shower. By the time I'm out of the shower and dressed, she is usually awake. More play time, feeding, more books, lots of pictures and it's time for nap #3. This one's usually between 1 and 2pm. During this nap I clean the house and then spend time doing whatever I need to or want to do that day. Lately I've been spending time planning upcoming crafts that I want to tackle. Next on the agenda: a quilt for Elliott. Also coming up soon, a jewelry holder for me and a bow/headband holder for Elliott. Recently I've made baby shoes. That is, until my needle on my machine broke. The new needle arrived this week, so hopefully I'll get those finished up soon!

Elliott wakes up right around when Josh gets off work (between 3 and 4pm). We play, eat dinner and she heads to bed at 6:30pm. Early, I know! What can I say, she loves her sleep!

So, as you can see, my days completely revolve around Elliott and I wouldn't have it any other way. She brings me so much joy and happiness. I don't know what I ever did before we had her! Children are such an incredible blessing that you truly don't understand or appreciate until you have one. My heart breaks for the women who never get to experience motherhood, don't like it or choose not to have children. They are missing out on so much.

Here are some pictures of what we've been up to lately.

I found this amazing giraffe at DI for $4! I can't wait until Elliott is old enough to ride it! What a steal!

Josh and I finished our Pinterest craft of making a chevron canvas to go above our bed. I am obsessed with it.

Jenn told me about this local clothing exchange that is put on every couple months where you can go and get free baby clothes. What a blessing to people who need help! We got some really cute things!

Elliott is working on mastering sitting up these days. She looks so cute. She is such a stubborn baby and will only sit up if she has certain toys to play with. Otherwise she arches her back so it's impossible to make her bend! Silly girl.

Elliott started sleeping on her side. It's so cute to me for some reason. I just love it. In fact, right now, she is sleeping on her stomach. And I didn't put her down that way!

Elliott also loves to move around in her crib. Before she falls asleep and after she wakes up she moves all around the crib playing with her binky, her elephant and her blankets. I came in the other day after her nap and she was completely sideways on one end of the crib staring up at me. Talk about heart melt. So cute.

She is so smiley. Sorry this picture is so blurry. She is just too cute.
