I hope people don't read the title and think I'm pregnant because I'm not! This is about Morgan and Jenn's little girl Titus! (She doesn't have a name yet...)
Jenn is due in 5 weeks! Last weekend one of her good friends threw her a baby shower. It was fun. It was just close friends and it was a couples shower. It was really fun. We played the funniest games and ate delicious food. Josh couldn't go because he was covering a shift for Kendal, but it was still a lot of fun.
When I was trying to decide what to get Jenn/baby I thought it would be fun to make a diaper cake. I think that someone has made one at every baby shower I've been to. I didn't think anyone at this shower would make one, so I thought I would try! I had never made one before, but it was so easy!
I realized after that I didn't take any "during" pictures but I will quickly explain how to make it.
The cake I made used about 75 diapers. Here are some very quick, simple instructions.
Roll the diapers individually and rubber band them with the small clear rubber bands.
Take a bottle (I filled it with candy) and place the diapers around the bottle standing up until you have a full circle.
Take a large regular rubber band and place it around that layer.
Create another layer of diapers around the previous one.
The bottom tier is 3 layers thick. Each layer has a large rubber band around it.
Create the next tier doing the same thing. The second tier has 2 layers.
Place another bottle on top of the previous one and build your third tier around it. The third tier has only one layer.
Once all the tiers are put together, it's time to decorate. I just used ribbon to cover the rubber bands. I glued the ribbon on and then glued a big bow on the top.
That's it! It's really simple and totally adorable. I saw a lot of cute ones online that were decorated with flowers. I wanted to do that but the flowers I wanted were too expensive, so I just stuck with the ribbon!
Here is the final product.
I thought it turned out really cute and Jenn seemed to love it! It's a really easy baby shower gift idea and what a cute way to give them diapers!

Way Way Way cute Danna!!!!
