Jacob and Valerie visit!

We dropped our kids off with Laurie and Bronson for the weekend (those crazy grandparents took five of the six children for three full days)!

Jake and Val flew in late Thursday evening. We stayed up for a bit catching up and just being so happy that they were there. Friday morning, we went to this awesome place called Biscuit Head. So yummy! And Jacob and Valerie loved it. Then we hit up downtown Greenville! We decided to rent bikes and ride around, which we hadn't done. It was such a blast. I can't wait to do that again. Maybe when I'm not pregnant, I don't know...I might have been a bit winded...to say the least. That night, we went to Mellow Mushroom for pizza downtown. Yum.

On Saturday, we did breakfast at the house and spent most of the day playing games. We played a lot of board games, of course! That night we went and did an Escape room here in Greenville. It was one of the funnest things I have done in a long, long time. You're locked in a small room together and you have to find clues and follow the clues to find an escape from the room in less than 60 minutes. We got stuck a couple times but I think we worked pretty well together and we got out with just shy of three minutes left on our timer! We did a vampire room so it was in the dark. At one point, the vampire popped out of it's coffin and I was standing right next to it. I might have fallen over and knocked Jacob down on the way. Oh man. So funny.
Notice our sweet shirts?! We decided we needed shirts to commemorate our trip together. It was definitely a good choice!
On Sunday, we took it easy. We played games, played Twister, took a bunch of pictures with weird animal masks on...you know, just normal stuff. It was such a good trip and a harsh reminder of how much we miss them and wish they lived closer!
