EdVenture & Halloween Crafts

A couple weeks ago we went to EdVenture with some friends and then spent the afternoon making Halloween crafts! It was a great day.

Our trip to EdVenture this day was actually pretty hysterical. Tara and I spent all morning chasing kiddos around. Just before lunch, her sweet baby was hungry. So she ran down to the cafe to see if they could give her a cup of hot water to heat up her bottle. They don't have hot water...uh, what? So they gave her a cup of luke warm water, which did nothing. We decided to try out the cafe for lunch since we were already there and we were all getting a bit hangry. We went downstairs, they boiled some water for her bottle and we ordered some lunch. They were out of the first two things I tried to order, so I frustratedly decided on pizza. Terrible choice. After 10 minutes or so (mind you, we were the only ones there) they came out to tell me that they were out of pepperoni and asked if bacon was okay. Oh sure! Haha. Another 10 minutes go by and our pizza finally shows up. It was the most disgusting pizza I've ever eaten. They had used pre-cooked bacon and just laid the strips across my pizza. They didn't even crumble it up! Haha. And it was on some kind of floppy bread that tasted like it was uncooked. All I could do was laugh. Tara's food took almost 30 minutes to come out and she got a turkey wrap (which I'm sure was pre-made) and a pb&j. So frustrating. But, thankfully they had this beautiful carousel in the middle of the restaurant to keep the kids busy. Oh, just kidding. It costs $4! Oh man. Seriously we were cracking up. We made a big enough fuss that they eventually gave us free passes for the carousel and the kids got to ride before we both headed home with grumpy, tired kids! What a morning! Hahaha.

That afternoon we made some Halloween crafts. I didn't buy anything, just used what we had around the house. Piper ate more crafts than she made. Haha. Typical.
