Josh and I are house sitting for Kendal and Matt who are house sitting for Morgan and Jenn while they are gone for the summer. Kendal and Matt are in SC for a month working for Josh's parents, so we are watering the lawn, feeding/playing with the dogs and checking the mail. Since they flew to SC, they are letting us use their car for the month. It has been such a nice change. Elliott and I can actually get out and do stuff during the day. Since we only have one car, I'm normally stuck at home all the time. It can get pretty boring. So having a second car has been awesome.
Last week Elliott and I decided to check out the newly remodeled Bean Museum on campus. Before the remodel started, I didn't get a chance to take Elliott because she was still a little young to appreciate it. So it was all new to her. I had been quite a few times for field trips with the kindergarten on campus (when I worked there).
The new part of the museum is really awesome. They have a couple giraffes, a hippo, a rhino and even an elephant. It was pretty cool. Elliott loved running around looking at all the animals.

This was when we first got there and she had just woken up from her nap...haha

She was just not very smiley for pictures this day. I promise she was having fun though.

That's a little better. This giant butterfly is made up of hundreds of butterflies. Super cool!
A real liger! Elliott wouldn't stand still.
Elliott particularly liked the more gruesome exhibits. haha
It was a fun afternoon!
On another note, Josh is currently in Denver for a weekend conference that Panda Express sent him to. This morning, Elliott and I had three hours to get ready for church, so I decided to curl her hair. I've never curled it before, and man, did it make her look more grown up. I was shocked. She looked so beautiful. I really can't believe that Josh and I made her.
I love this girl.

She is just beautiful! And that butterfly exhibit is so cool!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures of her with her hair curled are really so adorable, I love them. And the Bean Museum looks cool! I'll have to get Jack over there, he would love it.
