25 YEARS YOUNG!

Man, I am so behind on blogging. I have been busy designing for other people's blogs, and so mine has been a little abandoned. I'll try to be better! Promise.
Last week was my 25th birthday. And what a great one it was!

My birthday fell on a Monday this year, which happens to be Josh's day off! Hooray. That was awesome. So Josh got up with Elliott in the morning and I slept until 10am. What? Yes. The best. When I got up, Elliott was napping so Josh ran to Kneaders and got us breakfast. We ate, watched a show and then got ready. For my birthday Josh gave me $100 out of his tip money to go shopping so we hit up the mall. I got a bunch of new tops and I even have some left over so I'll have to go back soon.

After shopping, we came home so Elliott could take another short nap before dinner. I talked to my mom, finished getting ready and we headed to dinner. We ate at this new[ish] Mongolian restaurant in Provo called Mongo's. I hadn't been there, but I love Mongolian and it was great! And it seemed like everyone liked it (except Josh...he hates Mongolian food)! We even got there before the happy hour special ended so our bowls were all $5! Talk about a lot of food for $5. It was awesome. At dinner was us, Morgan, Jenn, Jane, Kate, Jacob, Valerie and Jack. Just our close friends. I invited a few others, but it was super last minute, so they couldn't make it. But it was a lot of fun. After dinner I ran home to bathe Elliott while Josh went to pick up my cake. He got me an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen (my favorite)! Then we all met up over at Morgan and Jenn's, put the babies to bed and ate cake while we played a nostalgic round of Settlers of Catan. We used to play that game every weekend. But then Jacob got a little really obsessed with board games and we started playing other stuff too. So it was fun. Morgan won.

It was such a great day. Josh made it amazing for me! I am so thankful for birthdays. Being a mother is so selfless, which is wonderful, and how it's supposed to be...but sometimes it's nice to spend some time on yourself and celebrate you!

Happy birthday to me!
