Birthday Weekend!

What a weekend! What a wonderful, wonderful weekend! 

My birthday weekend started on Friday. I had squirk that day but it was still fabulous. One of the girls at squirk made me a cake and I even blew out a candle. I got happy birthday sung to me both in the morning and in the afternoon. The children don't have school on Friday so it was just me and my 222 students. But we had a good time. Kendal picked me up from squirk where I headed to Kneaders to see my dear husband. He couldn't take a break because it was too busy, so I headed home. I got home to this!

What a sweet surprise. I had a pile of gifts from joshie too! I hung out around the house for a while, waiting to hear from Morgan and Jenn. They had asked me to babysit Jane so they could go to a play on Friday so that they could hang out with us on Saturday (when we were going to actually celebrate my b-day). I just love that little girl, so of course I said yes. (And no Jenn, I don't regret it one bit!)

When I got over to Morgan and Jenn's I saw this! 

Talk about feeling loved!

It was so great! There were streamers and balloons everywhere! :) I loved it. 

Morgan and Jenn bought me dinner and then headed to their play. Jane was already in bed so I just sat and watched tv. The dogs made sure to keep me company.

she was done. and then, she was done. 

Luckily Kendal came over shortly after Jane woke up so Kendal and I took turns rocking her and trying to get her to sleep. We did eventually get her back to sleep, about 10 minutes before Morgan and Jenn got back! Woo.

It was fun though. I love babies. 

After they got back I picked up Josh from work and we headed back over to their house to hang out for a bit. I got to open one gift (from my sister) which was this fabulous cookbook! I can't wait to try some things out of it! Thanks Jamie! Also on Friday, I opened the gift from my mom. These adorable slipper shoes and hand knit socks!!

We hung out for a while then headed home. On Saturday morning Josh had to get my cake ready so I was told to leave the house. I decided to go shopping. I got some money for my birthday from family and I had that $75 gift card from taking surveys. So I went out, by myself, to buy some clothes. I was pretty proud. I got four tops and two pairs of socks for $55. Everything was on clearance. Woot.

When I was finally told I could go home, I got to come home to this! 

Is that not the most adorable cake you've ever seen? Josh made it just for me because he knows I love elephants. It's so cute!! 

The saturday plans were kept a secret up until this point so I was instructed to dress warm and we would head out. 

The surprise? Cornbelly's! We have been there before with Jacob and Valerie (who couldn't come this time). But this time we went with Morgan, Jenn and Jane! We had so much fun. We did the corn maze, ate candy, kettle corn, did a hay bale maze, rode pedal karts, jumped on a giant pillow and much, much more. We had so much fun. It was a great surprise.

the boys also played a lot of tetherball. it was pretty hilarious.

After Cornbelly's we came back, ate Cafe Rio at Morgan and Jenn's and I got to open my gifts! Kendal did this for me! She snuck my glass baking dishes out and etched them!

Morgan and Jenn got me a card and a $20 gift card to itunes...which makes more sense after you hear what josh got me.

Josh got me (us) apple tv! We are super excited about it. It's already been a lot of fun and we've barely scratched the surface with it. I can use the gift card to rent movies or rent shows on apple tv. 

Josh also got me a new 2 player settlers of catan game which we've played and is awesome. I also got this adorable little elephant ring holder for the only two times i take my ring off...doing dishes and showering. :) i love it.

and lastly, he got me season 2 of community! 

It was such a wonderful birthday! I couldn't have asked for more! 

Phew! That was quite the post.
